Mirage (old skool marker) Description

Mirage is a marker that was made in the 90's in Canada. Its basically a Tippman Pro-Lite clone. Almost same design principle, simplified barrel instalation much tougher frame. I have 2 of those markers, and I always take one to the fieled as a backup (woods ball). Those markers are indestructible!!! I got those as former rentals, they had a pound of sand in them and still water when they arrived, I replaced and oiled all the "O" rings, took them apart, cleaned every part and greased it with lithium grease and they shoot like new. This marker is the AK-47 of markers, crude, simple but does its job, will shoot with sand, water, mud, snow, tree sap, grass, ice, and any other thing that could accidentally get in it. Like I said its a tippman like design, everything in one line, the bolt is connected to the hammer and the valve is screwed fixed in the middle, as the hammer starts moving (after trigger pull) forward pushed by the spring, it hits the closed valve, temporarliy opens it, releasing the co2 or n2o (another great thing about it, uses both gasses) meanshile the mini bolt pushed the ball further into the barrel and ejects it with air released, with also causes the hammer to slide back again and re-cocks the marker. Simple eh? I love this marker, first its very old skool, has the weight that design of really early markers. Second its fun to shoot something like that, the marker actually has some serious recoil, jerks back hard after each shot, makes you target better and waste less ammo. It would be good to madify for scenario games and have the better feel to it when playing scenario.

Appaerntly paintballgear.ca has a barrel adapter for this baby, so if you are interested in putting something better than the stock barrel this would be your best bet, maybe soon I'll order that to see if I can fit my old progressive on one of my mirages.

NEW! I am beginning operation "Super Mirage" in which I want to take one of those old timers and make it into something more with parts from other markers.
