Paintball Section: Mods Markers: Tippmann A5
Tippman A5 semi-automatic Marker

Tippman A5 is a great marker with revolutionary cyclone air powered feeder which feeds another ball with each trigger pull. This feature comes standard and works great, no need for expensive halo's or heavy VL electronic loaders. A5 is fairly small when not scenario moded ( stock bottom girp ect) and is not too heavy. It is very durable and requires much less maintenance than spyders, shockers, or autocockers. (NOTE every marker requires maintenance after each game and shold be cleaned and checks for any broken or worn out parts). So if you don't clean it and maintain it this marker will break on you, I seen it happen. On the pictore to the right you see it with a flatline barrel, it is not the most accurate barrel in the world tho it beats stock any day but it has 1.5 times the range of any other barrels, its the way it puts a backward spin on the ball which makes the ball cover way more distance, if you are doing assult and need cover fire that is fairly accurate then get few guys with tippman A5s to lay the cover fire for you while you make a run for closer bunker and snipe the enemy out.

Some fields require you to use a barrel condom only not regular plugs, note that flatline needs an extended condom because of its size, normal ones will not fit as they are made for regular barrels.

Useful Tech Stuff:

Here is some techniacal / troubleshooting stuff, apparently when using nitro with A5 you cannot screw it directly into the ASA port at the bottom of the marker, this will cause the marker not to re-cock and will not properly seal, you need to use a bottomline adapter or a remote, this is not same with CO2 tanks which can be screwed directly onto the marker without any additional parts. I seen this happen on 2 different A5's, my best guess is that they need to be regulated.

On the right you can see the new configuration which we made with my friend. Full cammo, marker body, hopper and flatline barrel. Made in the style of Spec-ops hammerhead. The tank is ACI Buldog 56/4800 fiber wrapped HPA tank. The dropforward has an on/off feature. With this setup the marker is well balanced, and can be handled like spyder like markers which have the tank below them. I enjoy this setup a lot. Can't really see it well on the pictures but this time we added a response trigger, its almost as good as electric and in some aspects better, and requires no batteries.

Click on the smaller pictures to see full blown pic, be carefull those are lager pictures.
